This scripture reflects the heart of our music and worship ministry at First Baptist Church of Dumas, Arkansas and it is our desire to worship in spirit and truth as we seek to connect people to Jesus Christ. The worship services of First Baptist Church of Dumas provide spiritual direction, guidance and oversight to the worship life of our church. More than 150 church members age four through senior adults sing, play instruments, ring handbells, and lead choirs and ensembles. From Children's Choirs beginning at age 4 through 6th grade, Children's Chimes beginning at 3rd grade through 6th grade, our adults in Sanctuary Choir, Adult Handbells, Solos, and Duets, we are committed to connecting people to Jesus Christ in a variety of ways. Special programs such as "Songs of the Season," "Christmas Musical," "Easter Musical," "Drama," and "Patriotic Musicals" serve as bridge events to the Dumas area as well as provide a musical offering of Christ's love.
Adult Choir
The Sanctuary Choir, with over 38 members, is a dedicated group of singer which serves an active role each week in our worship services preparing the heart for the Word of God. The Sanctuary Choir is accompanied by Jessie West, as pianist, and Ann Brigham, as organist, sharing their gifts and talents from the Lord to lead in worship. In the past, the Sanctuary Choir, Youth Choir, and Children's Choir has done musical tours and special events. The Children's Music Ministry of the First Baptist Church of Dumas, Arkansas is a fun-filled, value-packed adventure available EVERY WEEK to the children of the Dumas area. We have TeamKids for 4 year-old through 6th grades, serving over 100 children! With an investment of just two hours per week, your children will learn musical skills and dramatic presentation, all chocked full of priceless spiritual principles that will impact their lives for eternity! Twice a year, at Christmas and mid-summer, our children, 4-year-old through 6th grade, combine to become TeamKid Children's Choir, to present a Musical Extravaganza that is second to none!
